The Lost and the Found – Cat Clarke

I adore Cat Clarke’s books; they’re so well-written and often very taut and tense. The Lost and the Found about a family whose daughter is abducted and then found thirteen years later sounds like it will be a gripping, if difficult, read.

The Rest of Us Just Live Here  – Patrick Ness

I love Patrick Ness’ writing and the concept of this book with what life is like when you’re not the ‘chosen one’ is enough to put it on my must-read shelf!

The Devil You Know – Trish Doller

I love Trish Doller’s writing, she’s a brilliant contemporary YA novel and her books are full of the feels. This  road-trip gone wrong novel just calls to me.

Judged – Liz de Jager

I love Liz’s writing, she writes awesome YA with great characters and real mythology shaping the world building. As much as I don’t want this series to end, I know it will be great!

Way Down Dark – James Smythe

I loved The Testimony and so am super intrigued by James Smythe’s first YA book. Plus with a tagline like this, how can you resist? “There’s one truth on Australia: You fight or you die. Usually both.”  I was lucky enough to snag a proof of this at a recent Chapter 5 event so will be starting it soon.

These Shallow Graves – Jennifer Donnelly

I love Donnelly’s writing and this book just sounds so cool. I was excited for it before I heard Hot Key Books speaking about it at their latest blogger brunch and now I just need it right now!

The Dead House – Dawn Kurtagich

Urban legend, diaries, psychological thrillers? This just sounds so good, I have to read it. Plus it involves use of reports and transcripts which I always love.

Six of Crows – Leigh Bardugo

I attended an event at Waterstones Piccadilly and Leigh read a tiny extract of this and it’s so good. I cannot wait to read it.

Lair of Dreams – Libba Bray

As you may know if you’re a regular reader, I loved the Diviners and so am incredibly excited the sequel is finally coming out.

Trollhunters – Guillermo Del Toro and Daniel Kraus

I love Guillermo Del Toro’s films and this books sounds brilliant. The Hot Key Books team told us a little about it and it sounds so good. I cannot wait to read this!
